The Glass Sibling

For the ones who carry more than they show.

Some children learn to be “the strong one” — the helper, the easy one, the one who doesn’t need much. But that quiet strength can come at a cost.

The Glass Sibling is an art therapy group for children who’ve grown up alongside a sibling with higher needs — disability, neurodivergence, or medical complexity.

In this gentle creative space, they can lay it down — the responsibility, the worry, the holding-it-together — and remember what it feels like to simply be seen.

Led by Bianka, an arts therapist and lived-experience “glass child,” sessions use art, play, and creative expression to help children reconnect with themselves and with others who understand.
